Welcome to Year 4's Class Page

Article 28: You have the right to a good quality education.

Article 28 Every child has the right to an education

Year 4 are taking part in an ongoing workshop led by the charity Save the Children, where they are learning about and developing their understanding of children’s rights. Through engaging discussions, fun activities and interactive tasks, the children are exploring what rights every child should have and why they are important. The workshops encourage pupils to share their ideas, listen to others and understand how children’s rights help everyone feel safe, respected and included.

Wellbeing Workshop

On Monday 21st September Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic mental wellbeing workshop with two visitors from the NHS. The children took part in a range of activities designed to help them relax and look after their wellbeing, including yoga, calm colouring and using fidget toys. They also talked about how simple activities like these can help us to feel calm, manage our emotions and support our mental wellbeing. It was a fun and informative session that gave the children some useful strategies they can use in their everyday lives.

This week, Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in an exciting dental workshop with a special guest who taught us all about how to keep our teeth healthy and strong. The children learned how to brush their teeth properly and discussed which foods and drinks we should avoid to protect our teeth. It was a fun and informative session, and the children learned lots of useful tips for keeping their smiles healthy!

Yoga

This week, Year 4 have started their exciting new yoga lessons!  We have been learning how yoga can help us to improve our flexibility, balance, strength and concentration, while also helping us to feel calm and relaxed. The children have enjoyed learning some simple yoga poses, including Tree Pose, Downward-Facing Dog and Warrior Pose. We are looking forward to developing our skills and trying lots more poses in the weeks to come!
