Happy new year and welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful, well deserved break and are ready for an exciting spring term ahead. This term is filled with lots of fun learning opportunities, new challenges, and exciting activities. We are excited to have you back so we can resume the fun and busy learning thus far in year one.

Christingle Assembly 

 On Friday 20th December, we had our Christingle assembly service at St Augustine's. It was a lovely atmosphere where everybody sang carols and Christmas songs and we learnt what the Christingle represents, 'the light of the world'.

Year One have chosen to support UNICEF as their class charity.

Year one have worked as a class to create our class prayer. At the end of each day, we invite all children to join our class prayer to foster a sense of unity in our school.

Welcome to Year 1

We are delighted to welcome you to year one! We hope your summer was filled with adventures and fun. As we open the year one doors we are so happy to see your smiley faces as you step into your new school year. We are so excited for the new challenges, milestones and achievements.

 

As children transition from foundation stage, learning will become more structured and we will be focusing on building independence, creativity and curiosity. We are thrilled to support every child every step of the way on their new school journey. 

 

With the new school year upon us, step with us into a year full of endless possibilities to ensure our children grow and create some joyful memories.
