Children In Need Blue Peter live show.

The children got to meet Pudsy Bear and take part in a world record for how many sets of pudsy bear ears could be placed on in 30 seconds. To beat the record the presenter had to place more than 17 headbands on the children within the time.

The offical judicator from the Guiness World Records was present on the show. The presenter sucessfully put on 18 sets of Pudsy Ears in the time making it the new world record.

The children had a great time.

We even took Augustine Bear with us and he got his first Blue Peter Badge.

Black History Month 2024 | Engage Barnet

This year’s theme for Black History Month is “Reclaiming Narratives,” and marks a significant shift towards recognising and correcting the narratives of Black history and culture.

In year 5, to link with our science topic of space, we have started to look at the lives of Katherine Johnson, Guy Bluford, Mae Jemison and Benjamin Bannakar to find out about their amazing work and the contributions they made to space travel.

We hope to write some mini biographies and hopefully get to share them with other classes in school.

Take a look at some of our Mini Biographies

Article 17: Every child has the right to reliable information from a variety of sources.

Look what we have been up to!

Our Science topic this term has been the Solar System so we have combined this with our art to produce some space pictures using multi media techniques.

We also produced some art to show the phases of the moon.
